Allie's 2 teeth!

I finally got a good picture of Allie and her two teeth.  She doesn't like it when you try to feel for them so you have to get her to smile.  I don't remember what I was doing to make her laugh but this is a good smile and I had to share it.

And she is offically 8 months old.  It really does fly by when they are babies. And it's not fair to the parents. I remember being a kid that I wished that I was older. Now that I am older I wish I was still a kid minus High School. I work with those kids everyday.  I miss her being little already. The little baby that would curl up and sleep on your shoulder. But I look forward to the milestones she had in store for her.  Here's her 8 month picture. People ask me all the time where I got these little shirts and they are actually stickers. I bought them on http://www.etsy.com/ (my favorite website).

We gotta toother!!!!!!

Yes, its true!! After four months of anticipating its arrival we have finally seen the light! A sweet little baby tooth.  I was so happy when Donna, our sitter, told me today when I picked her up that it had made its arrival that I couldn't help but kiss her sweet little face and congratulate her as if she just completed her doctorate degree.  The pride I felt was dripping off me. No joke, I am one proud Mama. When it comes in more clearly I will post pics.

We finally went back to school today. Yippee!!
We only have a 2 day work week.  Yippee!!!
We have to go to school next week to make up the days. Poopie!!!!
We don't have to make them up in May. Yippee!!

New Cousin!!

Yay! Allie has two new cousins. Keeton was born in October and this morning Ryan was born!! Three babies in 1 year! Yay!

It seems like EVERYONE is having boys. All of the pregnant women we know are pregnant with boys. It's crazy! I have all of these cute baby girls clothes that I would love to give to people but everyone I know is having a boy. I don't think they would appreciate pink hair bows and bloomers. HaHa!!

Only 10 more days to Christmas! Are you ready? We only have about 3 more gifts to get and of course Christmas Cards.  I always save those to the end. I don't know why.  Any suggestions?

New family member!!

Okay so for those of you who do not know, Allie is the 1st Grandchild on my side of the family and the 3rd on her Dad's side of the family.  However, her 2 cousins on her Dad's side of the family are 30 and 23 years old. So she is the 1st Grandchild in 23 years.  Today her 23 year cousin, Tasha, went into labor with her 1st child, a boy! Tasha and her husband are a military family so they recently just moved from Nevada to Maryland. Still no where close to Kentucky.  We are so excited to have a new family member any time now. 
And my cousin, Jenny, just had her 3rd baby, a boy, in October. So Allie has 2 new cousins her age.  Unfortunately we do not live anywhere near our new baby cousins but they are still family and we are so happy for them!!!

Still no school tomorrow for me. Three days and counting. They have 3 days built into next week for make-up days. Still no word as to when and if we have to make those up before Christmas.  Maybe tomorrow if we get ALL the snow they are predicting I will take Allie out in her snow suit for a photo op.

Meeting Santa

Chris and I anticipated the worst when Allie met Santa but much to our surprise she seemed okay with him.  She just keep looking at him and then looking back at us. She is teething pretty bad so she kept her hand in her mouth the whole time.  So it was difficult getting a good picture.

On another note! Tomorrow is my first SNOW DAY!!! So yay for a 3 day weekend!  But poo because we may have to make it up before Christmas Break which is just next week!  Looks like there is a forcast of snow for the next few days. Brrrrr! But I can't wait until tomorrow to see how much we actually got overnight.  Allie has a snow suit she can wear so maybe we will get out and play!

Allie's First Christmas

This is my very first blog and if successful I will continue to update my friends and family who do not live near or around us on the adventures of new motherhood, a new career, a new baby, a new house, and a WONDERFUL family life.

This is Allie's first Christmas and we are trying to make it as special as possible. Even though she will never remember it I have looked forward to this for her since the day I found out I was pregnant.  I really love being a mother and secretly wish I could be a stay at home mother but a SAHM doesn't make enough money to pay the bills.  It was hard enough on us while I was on maternity leave to 2 months and no income. 

Allie is already 7 months old and sits up and rolls over. Just this week she started saying "Dadadadada" and the was her mouth moves when she says it is so precious. And the tone in her voice is darling. I can't wait to hear her speak her first real words.  She is so much fun and it gets better each day.
