Broken Leg

Yep, we have a broken leg. Bless her little heart. She got too close to the edge of the bed Sunday night and I couldn't get to her in time and she fell.  The bad part is I didn't notice something was MAJORLY wrong until Monday morning when I went to put on her shoes and she started crying with pain. So we rushed her to the ER and sure enough it is broken. We got the cast on today (had to get the KY blue color) and it should only be on there for 2 to 3 weeks. Dr said babies bones heal really fast. So we are taking it ever so easy.  When it rains it pours. Last week I was sick with severe bronchitis but they thought it was pneumonia. I am NOW just starting to feel better.  Crazy!!! I just hope nothing else happens that requires us to make a Dr appt or go to the Pharmacy.  They really do know us by name there. Please keep Baby Allie in your prayers. Thanks!!!!

Prom 2011 and I am officially OLD.

Okay so I was the Prom cordinator for ACS this year.  I helped organize the caterer, decorator, DJ, florist, and photographer for this MAJOR event.  The DJ asked me when I contacted him to get a list of songs from the kids of what they would like to hear so as a good Prom cordinator would do I asked my class with the most seniors to give me a list.

Some of the songs I knew were not going to actually play out but I wrote them down anyway but 1 song stuck out to me. The name of the song is Bring It Back........ummmm sounds Country and we like live in the Country and the artist is Travis Porter and that name sounds Country as Cornbread, right?  Ummmmmmm WRONG.............check it out on iTunes and make sure you "ear muff" your kids before you do.  Needless to say..........."Bring it Back" didn't get broughten to Prom.

New and Improved Front Porch

One of my Spring Break projects was redoing the front porch. We don't use that entrance so I never really thought it needed some curb appeal so that is why I decided it needed a spruce.  I painted the front porch (which needs a 3rd coat), made the wreath, made the pillows, purchased some chairs with my Christmas money, bought a new doormat, and cushions for the chairs.  And planted some gerainiums. Ta-Da!!!

Happy Birthday Allie!

Allie is officially 1.

We had such a great time celebrating her birthday.   I "tried" making her birthday cake but the cake was a little over done so the icing was hard to spread. But she tried it and took a few bites. I guess she's not a big cake person.  The family pic is kind blurry b/c it was really hard trying to get all three of us in there.

This is Allie at exactly 2:44pm on her 1st birthday. The exact time she was born 1 year ago.
