Not taking the GRE

Okay Im not taking the GRE now. I just hope they don't charge me b/c I didn't show up. I know I won't get my money back but I've blown $80 on things before.  My 2 year plan goes like this...

#1 Finish my Masters
#2 Call it a day

I have no desire to get my Rank I. What's the point......its only going to give me an extra $250 a month after I retire and who knows I could have a new job like my mom by then. I have GOT to come to terms with myself that I make life more difficult by trying to do everything.  I've done pretty good thus far in life and even though I didn't get a good start (setting out of school or several years) Im back on track now. I will be 33 when I finally finish my master's.

Gotta give it to God......and on that note.....Received an amazing service at church on Sunday. Exactly what I needed!!!!

Back to School

Well we are entering our 5th week into school. I take the GRE on Monday ( Labor Day) and I don't even need to. I orginally had planned to major in School Counseling for my master's degree and it required a GRE score so in June I signed up for the GRE on Sept 5th b/c it was 50% off. Now I have decided to change to my major to Teacher Leader and it does not require a GRE score. But if I cancel my test then I do not get my money back. And one day in the distant future I MIGHT want to get my Rank 1....just like I MIGHT want to get my pinky toe smashed in a door frame. But its a thought. Therefore I MIGHT need a GRE score to get into whatever program I MIGHT want to do. So there goes 6 hours of my life to a test that will make me feel like I need to be on welfare and living in a sewer b/c I am so stupid. At least that is what everyone is telling the GRE will make you feel.
I started my first masters class last Wednesday....its all online and I have to log into a chat room type program once week to have a class meeting. It was kind of strange but in a sense made me feel like I was back in college again. Chris took care of Allie and I had the room all to myself. I can sit there in my PJs, pick my nose, and fart if I want to and no one else will know. I might like this online master's program. I sit at my "card table" of a desk with a little lamp, my laptop, and my headset with microphone. I look like a telemarketer working from home. But if I keep up with the assignments I think I will be able to handle it. I just have to tell myself that something things just need to be POOFED and FLUFFED and that it doesn't have to be perfect. I might even ask my next door neighbor (who is a college professor and has class sizes of more then 50 at a time) if he really reads every assignment that is submitted. If that is the case I might feel better about myself.
Allie is cutting two teeth.....a molar (her 2nd) and a bottem tooth. She looks like a drooling slop. Poor thing she is fiditing with her hands and sometimes gags herself bc she sticks them in the back of her mouth b/c of the teething issue. I will be glad when all of her teeth are in. But then again, I saw a little boy at the indoor play facility I take her to sometimes and he looked a few months older then her and he had a mouth full of teeth. I thought he looked strange with so many teeth. But then again I have a 16 month old with only 8 teeth so anything looks strange to me when I don't see it every day.
Okay more later.............
