Teething and sippy cups

Please help!! I have an 8 month old that is very uncomfortable. She's teething so naturally she is fussy and uspet. I can see where her two front teeth are trying to make their debut but no official sight of white.  I've tried teething tablets, orajel, frozen teethers, and cold wash cloths and she is just not feeling well.

On the other hand I need some advice on how to get her to drink out of a sippy cup. She will hold it properly but just suck air. She hasn't figured out that she needs to tilt it back a little to get the liquid. Or she will chew on the spout. I guess in all good time she will figure it all out.

Water Heater Excitement!

Okay well I am taking a break from lesson plans and other school related mumbo jumbo you don't care anything about, I'm sure!! I know this sounds so lame but I am excited to say that we now have a brand new 50 gallon water heater!!!! No more 10 minute showers!!! Now I can bask in the delight of however long I need (or until the Hubs has something to say about my water waste). Today I even cleaned the shower as I was taking a shower and some of you might think that is crazy but I call that multi-tasking!! Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

I am praying that God is good to our families in 2011. God's blessing was gracious and loving in 2009 and 2010 and I hope 2011 is even better. God is Good!!!
